Landing
The first in-person Dance in Conversation gathering. An evening of dance, presence, and relational attunement.

The theme is Landing.
Not flying higher, but landing more fully.
We'll explore the slow and human process of arriving:
Into the body.
Into the room.
Into genuine connection with another person.
There is a difference between meeting someone and truly arriving to meet them.
Throughout the evening, we'll be invited to welcome ourselves, notice the body, and gradually settle into the space. Music will hold us, words will be few, and there will be plenty of room to arrive at your own pace. And, in time, to arrive together.
This is a slow relational practice where you meet others without pressure, and where dancing becomes a way of listening:
To yourself, to another, and to what unfolds between you.
If you need to rest, if you want to move slowly, if you want to arrive, come and join the dance.
No experience is necessary.
Booking is essential; places are limited.
Come as you are.
The evening
7:15pm - Doors open
Settle in and stretch. Soft music will be playing as you arrive.
7:30pm - Opening circle
We sit in a circle to welcome each other and get a feel for the group.
7:45pm - Dance
The space opens for movement.
9:30pm - Closing circle
A minute to wrap up and wish each other a good night.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely
- Layers, as the room may warm up
- Warm socks or soft shoes for moving around
- The venue is a gentle space. It has cushions and yoga mats if you'd like to sit on the floor, though chairs will also be available.

About Jesús
Jesús Acosta came to dance looking for movement and stayed because of what it revealed about trust, presence and the way we meet one another.
His practice is rooted in partner dance, particularly tango, with further training in 5Rhythms and Movement Medicine. It's shaped by Embodied Intimacy and The Field Facilitation, approaches that bring presence, consent, and relational awareness into how he moves and teaches.
He founded Dance in Conversation in 2020: a space about listening, to ourselves, to another, and to what begins to emerge between us.
